Catherine Weiss (they/she) is a poet, illustrator, and arts organizer from Maine.

Their poetry has been published in Tinderbox, Up the Staircase, Fugue, perhappened, Birdcoat, Bodega, Counterclock, petrichor, HAD, Taco Bell Quarterly, Flypaper Lit, and elsewhere. They have been nominated for the Best New Poets anthology and Best of the Net anthology. Catherine’s chapbook-length poem Fervor is available from Ginger Bug Press and two full-length collections Wolf Girls vs. Horse Girls and Griefcake are available now from Game Over Books.

Catherine’s work has been selected as finalists for the Button Poetry Chapbook Contest, the Jack McCarthy Book Award, and the Maine Literary Award for Poetry.

Catherine was the 2017 Grand Slam Champion of Northampton Poetry and has competed at the National Poetry Slam, the Individual World Poetry Slam, and the Women of the World Poetry Slam.

Their artwork has appeared in Anxy Magazine, and they have designed t-shirts for several local organizations. Catherine also regularly makes art for poetry broadsides, chapbook and book covers, and merch for themselves and others.
